NASA’s International Space Apps Challenge 2025

We are proud to announce that two students from the Komar University of Science and Technology (KUST) achieved remarkable success at NASA’s International Space Apps Challenge 2025, held on October 4–5, 2025, in Sulaymaniyah. The event was hosted by the Kurdistan Students Association.

The global competition invited participants to choose one of 18 NASA-provided challenges and develop an innovative project within just two days.

• Mohammed Abubakr Tofiq — Team BirShad (2nd Place) from Computer Engineering Department
• Rabar Faruq Fatah — Team Crywolf (3rd Place) from Computer Science Department
